I've been painting on slate and glass and making fridge magnets this week, I have a fair coming up in a couple of weeks and need to get my table sorted. No pic's of the glass critters yet..... hopefully I'll get them done during the week. (you can see a couple of old ones in 'a bit about me').
These are a few of my 'nature' ones, I had to get a toadstool in there.
I've also done lots of Fly Agaric pictures as they always go down well with everyone especially the youngsters.
I too had a busy Mothers Day, no lie in for me though, I was up at the crack of dawn and got ready for a ride out with a few old friends and lots of guys I had never met before.... but are now new friends.
I'm not a rider, I'm a pillion passenger, (you don't want me in charge of a bike I assure you) I leave the riding in the safe hands of others.
It was the Ride for Respect Day at Wooten Basset and as lots of people around the country couldn't attend because of distance, number restrictions, time and a myriad of other reasons, clubs and individuals alike organised local ride outs. We ended up at RAF Honnington where the wonderful people of the base organised a much needed cuppa and a hog roast. . A great day was had by all and a lot of money was raised for such a good cause.
Well done to everyone who took part across the country.
What a lovely idea my favourie one is the mushroom my middle daughter collects them
ReplyDeletewell done on the bike ride its great to do enjoyable things while raising funds for others I could never ride a bike or be pillion too scary for me xxx
I think my favourite has to be the toadstool too. I love the effect of the paintings on slate and look forward to seeing the glass ones.
ReplyDeleteWell done for supporting such a wonderful cause - sounds like a really great day.

Love the daisies, so summery and good you enjoyed your day out.
ReplyDeleteMy favourite is the toadstool too x
ReplyDeleteI love slate and your paintings on slate look lovely, my favourite is the Fox.
ReplyDeleteThe Bikers homage was a good thing to do and interesting to read about.
Love the gull (they are a favorite of mine!) but they are all awesome. I always admire people who can paint or draw (or sew or anything that takes real talent!) Great job and welcome to the group, everyone is so nice!
ReplyDeleteLove the slate paintings, I think my favourite is the fox. Hugs Sue x
ReplyDeleteThe little fox is cute. I used to paint on pebbles, then varnish over them. Moved a few times over the years and somehow they have been left behind.
ReplyDeleteGood for you riding pillion - I find I don't lean with the bike, so not a good pillion rider to have on anybody's bike!
Sounds like you had a great time! Welcome to Handmade Monday too. I love the daisies - so nice and cheerful, and the bird makes me think of the Egyptian heiroglyphics my daughter has been learning about at school :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your kind comments, I haven't been around everyone yet but I will get to you and check out your blogs.
ReplyDeleteOOOhh Hieroglyphs, I have a pic of my sons from when he was at school, I'll have to check my old files.
Love the daisies, my favourite flowers and the toad stool looks really effective too.
