Handmade Monday has come around so quickly, I'm sure the weeks are becoming shorter as the sun gets warmer. I don't mind the warmth but I'd also love more time.
I have had 2 fairs this week, the first was on Thursday evening, it was held in a lovely hall in a local village and despite lots of local advertising the footfall was a bit disappointing, but on the up side I met lots of like minded people and hopefully with a bit more work I'm sure it can build up to a successful event.
The second event was on Saturday and was very successful. That too was local, which was great for me, no travelling, that's always a plus in my book. I don't know about you guys but I don't mind the travelling to an event but don't enjoy the travelling home.
I have a few orders for my Name Plaques and a couple for my Key Plaques
My Fairy Doors also done well, you can find pictures of them in my Face Book Album HERE
I was asked if I can do a door that is hinged and can be opened, I like a challenge so I'm going to give it a go......
Before I go I'd like to thank Wendy for organising Handmade Monday........... Check out her blog by following the link, I'm off now to catch up on the other blogs.

Congratulations on a good fair on Saturday!
ReplyDeleteLovely work as always but, (sorry for pointing it out but I have to - it is a pet hate of mine..) you need to remove the apostrophe in keys on your plaque!
Sorry - blame the fact I have an ex-English teacher Mum!!

Don't apologise Ali, you're right of course, I just never noticed. (the people who bought them must not of noticed either):o)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday for yesterday x

I am really taken by your fridge magnets - just love the beach huts! Summer around the corner!! Nancy
ReplyDeleteWell done on the fair - all your products are really lovely.
ReplyDeleteAli, thanks for pointing out the errant apostrophes - I'm an adult literacy teacher and teach apostrophe use - there's loads of information on the BBC Skillswise website for anyone who wants to brush up or double check their usage.
Sorry for the apostrophe interjection, but thanks so much for taking part in HM x
Well done with the fairs, nice to see your getting orders in.
ReplyDeleteWelldone with your fair success. Love the eye magnet, really unusual.
ReplyDeleteLove your little fairy door. I like a good challenge too. I'm sure you will come up with a solution to a hinged door. Hugs Valery Anne
ReplyDeleteI love the signs! I really like the font (right word??) that you used. Glad you got some orders! Anna x
ReplyDeleteThank you for looking and leaving your comments. As you know we all appreciate any comments that are made.
ReplyDeleteAnna - font is the right word and thank you.

Ooh which font is it? It is just great... have just finished reading Just my Type which is all about fonts so am really noticing them at the moment.
ReplyDeleteHi Ros, I've just looked up the book Just my Type and it looks really interesting. I love looking at fancy fonts.
ReplyDeleteI paint the lettering freehand and generally in my own writing. Occasionally I will loosely copy a font but it's never exact, I'm quite slapdash when it comes to things like that. I like putting 'serifs' (strokes on the end of a line)on my writing, sometimes big and flouncy, sometimes dots.
Thank you for your kind comment........... Jan x
