Wells next to the Sea

I've had a bit of a quiet week regarding crafting, My sister and her husband came to visit for a few days and we all had a lovely relaxing time. We had a day trip to Wells Next to the Sea....

Calm Waters at Wells Next to the Sea

A Beautiful Day at the Coast

We stopped for fish and chips, don't you just love seaside fish and chips?
Then we headed to Hunstanton for another seaside favourite.... ice cream

Hunstanton Sunset
It's amazing how quickly the light and colours change.

A calm evening at Hunstanton

What a difference a few days make, these pictures were taken last week-end and a lovely mild week-end it was, this week-end is the opposite, freezing cold wet, grey and snowing, I hope you are all keeping warm.

While at the coast I collected a few pebbles with the idea of painting them, but if I decide to do more I'll get them from the local garden centre. I'm not to sure of the by-laws regarding removal of beach material, I think taking a child sized handful as a holiday souvenir is a bit different than taking a bucketload to paint. I often paint on pebbles and pieces of flint.  Here are some of my previous ones that I made into fridge magnets.

It's Handmade Monday time once again so I'm off to pop my link over at the Handmade Harbour blog so why not grab a coffee and join me.

Have a great week

A Photograph Holder for Fathers Day

Did you all have a good day today? I did. It's the time of year when there are lots of motorcycle shows to choose from and what better than to go to a show that is being held in one of my favourite seaside towns, Wells next to the Sea, the Bike Show is aptly called Wheels next the Sea. We were lucky with the weather and it stayed dry and sunny and a great day was had by all.

Now back to crafting and Handmade Monday at Handmade Harbour, do pop over, it's a great linky party to join in with.

It is always great to be asked to make something special and a couple of weeks ago I was asked if it was possible to alter my Art Hanger to take 3 pegs for showing off photographs of their three boys.

Photograph Holder

I'm pleased with the result, I think it turned out well balanced and was the ideal gift for Fathers Day.

So in addition to the single peg for holding notes or photographs.......

Single Peg Note Holder

and the 2 peg Art Holders for showing off your childs Artwork........

Art Holder

I can now offer Photograph Holders with more pegs. I've had a little experiment and I can possibly do up to six pegs but with a different type of hanger than the ribbon that I usually use. I'm still playing about with this so watch this space.

Have a great week everyone and take care

Swirly Tree & Daisies on Canvas

What lovely weather we have had the last few days, today we took advantage of the weather and rode to Wells Next to the Sea, a lovely coastal town in Norfolk, it was still a bit chilly on the coast, well it is still March, but lovely and warm out of the breeze, it was great to go out without thermals on.

Wells Next to Sea

We then rode to Hunstanton for lunch, on the way we saw....

AA Call Box and our V Max

There are only about 19 of these AA Call Boxes left, some are in museums, this one is on the A149 at Brancaster.
As for crafting, this week I've been busy sewing my critters (see previous post) but no photographs of those as yet, and painting canvases for my up and coming show.

Swirly Tree and Daisies

I believe it's going to be another dry and sunny week so I'm hoping to get some gardening in and maybe doing a bit of jet washing before a hosepipe ban comes into force.

I'm linking this post to 1st Unique Gifts blog as part of Wendy's Handmade Monday. Please pop over and have a nosey at what Wendy and all the other bloggers have been up to.

Jungle Themed Plaque

Good day to you all and Hello to any new visitors to my little corner of the blogasphere.
It's a wonderful sunny day here in Suffolk and I will be spending some of it in the garden taking photographs of my finished plaques and paintings.
I'll also be scribbling away at some sketches for a couple of  new paintings I'm hoping to start in the next week or so.

Here is one of my jungle themed plaques I was asked to do for a birthday gift.

There are lots more designs for Plaques in my Face Book Albums

This week also found me having a great day out in Wells-next-to-the-Sea. It's a great place for fish and chips on the beach and an ice-cream for afters.

I'm off to check out the other great bloggers who take part in Handmade Monday
I hope you can join me.

Bye for now
