Owls on a Key Plaque

I love watching the birds on the feeders, I have lots of regular visitors and enjoy taking photo's of them, but I don't always get great pics, I take the photo's through the window so sometimes they can be blurry or the glass is full of raindrops.  The birds often fly in and out so quickly all I get is a blur of wings or a birdless feeder. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to get a decent shot, here are a couple of my daily visitors.....

While on the subject of birds, do you want to see one of my latest commissions?

Go on, you know you want to.....

This is it, it's a key plaque with 5 hooks, made for a family of five.

A Family of Owls

After a few emails and sketches done, we decided on this design, can you tell that my customer loves owls and rainbows?

5 Hooks for Keys

She's very pleased with it and I got some great feedback. I love this little the row of owls so decided to use it for a while as the banner on my Folksy Shop

That's all from me for now, I'm linking up with ......

  10. Your bird photos are so clear. Doesn't that little robin look as though he's had his fair share already from the bird feeder? I like the family of owls and I think it was a very good idea to use it as a banner for your Folksy Shop.

  15. I never realized that UK Robins were so teeny! [Chickadee size] North American ones are at least 3 to 4 times bigger! We often get the odd one wintering over, but not THIS year! Too much snow and COLD! The daytime windchill today was -40C&F!! Doubt that I'll see a Robin around here until MAY!

  24. It's well worth trying to get shots of the birds especially when you get great shots like the ones you've shown. I have the same problem with trying to capture the birds in my garden, usually I see a great photo opportunity but have no camera, run to grab the camera but then the birds gone! I did once capture a woodpecker in my garden but unfortunately it wasn't a great picture. I love your owl key plaque, so colourful and bright.

  26. Hi Jan! Thank you visiting my blog today. It seems we both have a love of birds! Here in Kangaroo land we have an amazing amount of beautiful birds but I've also always loved some of the European and US birds like Robins and Bluetits which arent here. Thanks for showing your photos of these gorgeous feathery fellows!
