Another
week has passed and it's time once again to saunter over to Handmade Monday @ Handmade Harbour, a great place to catch up with lots of great blogs.
On Saturday (6th April) I took part in one of the few craft fairs I'm attending this year. I was hoping for a pleasant day on the weather front and wasn't disappointed. It stayed bright and sunny all day, it was still a bit on the chilly side but hey, don't knock it, it's one of the best day's we've had for a while. The fair started slow but footfall built up nicely throughout the day. I had a reasonable day as did a few of the other stall holders but unfortunately some stalls didn't do well at all.

I thought I'd show you some little Wooden Houses I've been working on
A Row of Houses |
These
have been handpainted and have details on all sides
Hanging out the washing |
A Cottage Garden |
I've included a Post Office and a Police Station, other
houses in the planning stage are a Sweet Shop, Tea Rooms and a Fire
Station, some of the details I can include are door numbers or House
Names, bird tables, a teapot on a table and many more items. These
can also be painted to the customers specifications. What items would you choose to paint on one of these houses that would best represent you and your home?
Have a great week

Hey those little houses are brilliant. I like all the details you have added.
ReplyDeleteI love your houses! They are so cute and the hand painted details make them even more special! Glad you did ok yesterday :-) Simmi x
ReplyDeleteThe houses are lovely!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what I'd pick about my house to include as I don't particularly like this one!
I love your little houses. I don't think my house has anything distinctive as such, just the furry occupants, Henry and Higgins!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure that you really meant to ask about what represents my house - toys and dirty clothes all over the floor! Not at all in keeping with your ideal little buildings! ;)
ReplyDeleteAwwww! I love the little houses! They are so cute!
ReplyDeleteI love the houses, they are so pretty. I have plans for some felt houses if I ever get chance! Our house would need 3 dogs, chickens and a parrot plus probably a little white van with men in white coats coming to take me away!! xx
ReplyDeleteThe houses are really lovely. Really fun to have a whole street of them.
ReplyDeleteYour houses are really fab! And personalising them is a great idea. Mine would have to have a caravan sat outside x
ReplyDeleteNo wonder you did well - your little houses are great! And it's so good to hear about a craft fair where people did well!! A window with a silhouette of a hard at work sewer at her machine would be my house!!
ReplyDeleteaww these are so cute! Its so lovely that they can be personalised too :) If it was my house i think i might have a little vege plot... and maybe a doggie or two! x
ReplyDeleteThe houses are lovely and I can imagine would make a gorgeous display all in a row. Mine would definitely be flowers (perhaps some veggies too), a computer and cats. Fairs seem to be a very hit and miss activity still, don't they? Hope you have a good week.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful houses I love your painting style. Your houses would look lovely along a mantlepiece.
ReplyDeleteMy house would have to have butterflies somewhere and craft stuff everywhere ...oh and gadgety things for the OH. May look a bit messy with all that on ....mmmmm ;)

These houses are just fabulous! I would want mine to have a thatched roof, not because we have one but because I have always longed for a little cottage with one :)
ReplyDeleteAh these are lovely. Glad you did ok at the fair. The better weather probably brought out a better footfall for you. Mine would need a littl black cat and poppies and it would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteThe houses are so cute and I love all the details! Our house would have to have a green door with a big pink rhododendron bush out front.
ReplyDeleteCheers!

These are beautiful! They really do look great all sitting in a street-ly line, and I love your painting style. I think the washing line is my favourite detail, and my house would have a somewhat portly guinea pig in the garden ;)
ReplyDeleteThese houses are great! We have visited your blog for a first time and we totally love it! I would love to see some pets painted in front of the house, maybe a little Jack Russell dog? Good luck to your project! xx
ReplyDeleteOh I love your little houses, they're gorgeous. I think I'd like one that looked like a craft studio with bunting and a wreath hanging outside. That made me think you could have seasonal houses, Christmas, summer, etc. Thanks for sharing.
