Gosh it's a bit chilly outside, lots of the country has had snow and ice but we've just had a dusting of snow and lots of cold frosty mornings. I love the look of snow but I much prefer the warmer weather, so as a reminder of the summer sunshine to come I thought I'd show one of my garden plaques.
My customer had done a google search for an outdoor plaque and came across one of my previous blog posts about this
Garden Plaque Here.
She loved the design and commissioned this 'Summer Lodge' Plaque as a Christmas gift for a family member. Because I like all my Plaques to be slightly different and personal to each customer, I asked if she wanted me to incorporate a favourite flower, she chose a Sweet Pea.

A Summer Plaque |
The Sweet Pea is such a pretty and delicate flower and looks lovely in the pinks and lilacs to match the rest of the painting. There's also grape hyacinth, daisies and butterflies as well as a couple of ladybirds and a little blue snail, I really enjoy adding all these little touches. The plaque was finished off with a shimmer of sparkle and a few coats of exterior varnish. I'm sure that when it's hanging up at 'Summer Lodge' it will not only brighten up dull winter days but will look pretty in a garden full of spring and summer flowers.
Take care and stay warm, (unless you're in a hot climate, then keep cool)
