3 Canvases for Lucie

Hello all, I hope you are enjoying the weather as much as I am? although I'm finding it hard to get as much crafting work done as I need to. Too much time in the garden and not enough at the kitchen craft table.
Last week I finished a commission for a set of 3 canvases.I hope you like them, I'm glad to report that the customer loved them.

3 canvases for Lucie

These canvases were requested by a lady who contacted me through my facebook page. The message read....
"Hello. A friend of mine bought my daughter a door plaque from you last Christmas and I really love it. It's my niece Lucie's birthday coming up and I was wondering if you could make ........."

The client said she got my details from the label on the back of the plaque, it goes to show how important it is to include contact details on or with your work.

These canvases measure 8 x 8 inches and are 1 inch deep, great for standing on a shelf or equally good for hanging on the wall depending on your preference.

That's it from me for this post, I know it's only a short one but I have my Mum visiting for a week or two, or three and we are enjoying having a bit of quality time together, plenty of chatter and natter, sitting in the garden enjoying tea and cake.
I'm linking this post to Handmade Monday over at the Handmade Harbour Blog so don't forget to pop over and check out who else has joined the Linky Party.

Wishing you all a great week and lots more sunshine

It was a great day out, we saw lots of these............

Wings and Wheels

Classic Cars
The museum is run by enthusiastic volunteers and on the day we visited they were holding a bike rally and a classic car display. Everyone was really friendly and we had a lovely time.

On the crafting front I have been busy with more Name Plaques and the one I want to show you today is a special commission for a customer with two children who share a room. She wanted a plaque that was attached together by hooks but could be separated whenever the girls got their own rooms. The remit for the design was 'pink, purple, girly, butterflies etc' This is the finished piece and was well received by Mum and Dad and got the seal of approval by both Lily and Jade.

Don't forget to pop over to Handmade Harbour to check out what Wendy and all the other great bloggers have been up to this week as part of the Handmade Monday linky party.

Scull & Crossbones and Fairy Doors!!

Last week I missed taking part in Handmade Monday, in fact I haven't done a blog post for a couple of weeks but now I'm back. But just because I haven't blogged doesn't mean I haven't been busy, I've done a couple of fairs and I'd say my table done 'fair to middling'. My best seller at the first event was my 'Keep Out' Plaques

'Keep Out' Plaques

and at the second event were orders for Personalised Name Plaques. Hopefully I will show you these in future posts.

Another successful item were my new Fairy Door Key Rings, these are now listed in my Folksy Shop

Fairy Door Key Rings

As most of you know I do like my Fairy Doors and I made these after a request from a customer, they don't have to be used as key rings, they are great for zip pulls on jackets or bags, one little girl bought one to put on her pencil case. They are a great pocket money buy and it looks like I'll be making a few more, I may even do a few as fridge magnets to go along side my Beach Hut Magnets

This week Handmade Monday is being held at Handmade Harbour, it's still hosted by Wendy so I hope you will pop over and say 'hi'.

That's all for now, take care
