Do you decorate for Christmas? I love seeing the twinkle of lights on a Christmas tree or festooned across the town and city streets.
These days I am a bit of a minimalist decorator but I do have sparkling lights all around, I also have a few special decorations that are brought out every year, my all time favorites are this lovely Santa riding a white horse
and this selection of Hanging Decorations that I painted myself.
I'm looking forward to seeing all the other Folksy Folks Decorations.
Today is the first day of the Folksy Christmas Challenge for 2019, you see the prompts for each day on the poster. A post will be posted each day using the prompts as inspiration.
It's a great way of supportingFolksy.comas a seller as well as getting the word out to potential buyers about the wonderful array of handmade crafts here in the UK.

You will most likely hear or read the
phrase "'tis the season!" as Christmas approaches. The phrase ’tis the season is often used before many activities around Christmas time, such as ’tis the season for wrapping presents, ’tis the season for mistletoe, ’tis the season for chestnuts roasting on an open fire and ’tis the season for Santa Claus and the Grinch.
Most people believe that the
source for this phrase is from the lyrics to 'Deck the Halls'
Christmas carol. The carol contains the words, "'Tis the season to be
jolly, Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la."
Enjoy the music from this You Tube Video.....
'Deck the Halls' is taken from the old Welsh tune Nos Galan, a New Year’s carol. Most people sing Deck the Halls in the plural but it was first written as Deck the Hall in the singular. A great song to get you in the mood for this wonderful time of the year.
Pop over to Folksy.com to support the small crafters and artists in the UK
Brrrr it's getting colder out there, there have been a few clear nights and frosty mornings lately, great for looking at the moon through the window but not so good for frozen fingers while trying to get a decent photograph, so I've cheated and chosen an old pic of mine of the moon through the trees...
Looking through Folksy.com I've found some lovely Winter Moon items, here are just a few.
All the shop links are below the photo.
Most of these shops also have links to Facebook, Twitter and other social media's, there links are shown at the bottom of their shop page so do pop over and have a nose.
ACEO's are little works of art that can be displayed individually in frames or grouped together. They are the size of trading cards and some collectors like to either display them or have them in an album.
There are a lovely selection of ACEO's on Folksy.com
Here are three of my favorite items on Zazzle. One of the great things about Zazzle.co.uk is you can peronalise items or use the image and transfer it onto other Zazzle items. From cushions to towels, from household items to shoes from cards to gift tags and almost anything else you can think of.
I love this Cute Kitty Cushion, give your pussy cat their very own place to curl up. this can also be personalized to change the wording.
