Autumn Leaves

Just a few Autumn Leaves, I do love these colours, Autumn is well and truly here.

These were taken on my way to the shops, I love being able to take a less direct route.

It was a damp and overcast day, the rain had not long ceased and everywhere was still damp,

but it didn't take away the beauty of my surroundings.

Sometimes you just need to stop what you're doing and look at the view.

Whatever you are doing and wherever you are don't forget to pause, look around you and take some time out just for yourself.

Autumn Hearts

Summer is over and the nights are drawing in, I think it's about time I took control of this blog, got my act together and started writing some posts.

I'm lucky enough to live in a semi rural area and the Autumn colours have taken over my surroundings, just popping out to the shops is a pleasure when the views are so pretty

One of these days I may glimpse a unicorn in the forest,

I often see Deer and Bunny Rabbits

and the occasional Mr Fox

 but never a Lone Wolf.

All these items can be found in one of my online outlets, all the links are in the side bar if you want to browse.

Autumn Leaves and Garden Plaques

Hi, I'm back, can you see me waving.....
I decided to take a bit of a summer break, summer has gone and now it's Autumn, the way the time is flying by it will soon be Christmas but we won't think about that just yet.

I love the colours of Autumn,

Autumn Sycamore Tree
I can see this lovely Sycamore tree from my window, it's lovely to see it change through the seasons.

I've busy painting plaques, these both have the same spade and fork design but to make each plaque individual there are small differences in the birds and insects. There is also a choice of colour, twine or wire hanger or brass screws if preferred, these ones were ordered via my Wow Thank You Shop

I'll leave you with a few more Autumn Leaves to look at while I pop over to Lucy Blossom Crafts to take part in her blog linky party.

Zombie Outbreak & Keep Out Plaques

I've been doing a few new plaques for my up and coming Pumpkin Patch Craft Fair, here are a few just hanging around waiting for the varnish to dry.....

Making Plaques

The Zombie Outbreak Response Team plaque with the biohazard symbol seems to be the most popular thus far,

Zombie Outbreak Response Team

Some have been burned around the edges using a blowtorch, I think I must be a bit of a pyrotechnic on the quiet because I always enjoy that part, I always varnish after the burning to keep everything clean.

Keep Out Plaque

Some have been done with the girlies in mind... every year I get plaque requests for pink or purple scull and cross bones and no self respecting girlie scull would be seen without a bow.

Keep Out Plaque Pretty in Pink

Before I hop over to the Handmade Harbours blog hop I thought I'd share a picture of a lovely autumn crop...

A great apple crop

A yummy Red Apple

For me, a sure sign of autumns approach is apple pie and custard, apple fritters, spiced apple cake...... mmmm the list goes on

Have a great week

Autumn Toadstools

This week I entered a small painting into a 'Blog Challenge' over at The Crafty Network, I didn't win but I was Runner up which I'm really pleased with, I'm also pleased with the painting and I'll be taking it with me at my next craft fair.

The brief for the challenge was Autumn. This is how the painting started to develop, I wrote down all the colours I used as I went along and started building up layers, do you like my uber sophisticated palettes?

Autumn Toadstools, the beginning..

The Challenge is held fortnightly by Linda, she is a great networker and we all know how important that can be, anyone can enter as long as the item is handmade, you can enter jewellery, sewing, knitted items or anything else handmade. There isn't a 'prize' as such but everyone gets exposure on the Crafty Network blog, on facebook and on twitter. So if you want to give it a go then follow the link to The Crafty Network facebook or Blog.

I'm linking this post to Handmade Harbour.blogspot so pop over and have a nosey at all the other great blogs that are taking part in Handmade Monday.

Before I go I would like to thank you for all your kind words regarding my cortisone injection, it is starting to feel a lot better, I was told that it is not a 'miracle'cure for my wrist pain but I didn't realise that it would hurt so much in the first few days, but thankfully, now it is starting to do it's job and I'm glad I went ahead and got it done.

Best wishes
